Query on HBK/Nash, Carters at TNA house show, TNA co-founder blasts company, Questions on Hogan's priorities, Crimson/Red, TNA stuck in the past, and ROH's timeslots, Matt Morgan on "Made" rating, JBL talks Eddie-Kurt brawl, update on both Sin Caras, WWE Corporate departures, and Hardy talks DWI

I got a query today asking if Shawn Michaels will return to team with Kevin Nash. There hasn't been any indication that he'll be returning to the ring. A cameo's not out of the range of possibility, though.

Dixie Carter and her family appeared at a recent TNA house show. Her father and grandfather are from the area (Rome, GA). They continued to play up the "trying to get the company back angle. It was teased that a future Impact Wrestling or PPV would be taped there, but I think they might tease that at a lot of house shows. Notable absences from the show: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, Sting, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, Bully Ray, and Devon. Given how much TV time those people get, you'd think they'd be headlining the house shows. Some of them appear at some house shows, but it's not a general rule that they'll appear.

Speaking of the mess that is TNA, after the break I look at Jerry Jarrett's latest swipes at the company he helped build, as well as the rest of the day's news and questions.
Jerry Jarrett and (former TNA writer) Dutch Mantell were among those commenting on a piece that negatively portrays TNA. There are a number of drains on the company. Creative definitely needs an overhaul. The centers of the show, Flair, Hogan, and Sting aren't the draws (or performers) that they once were; there's a sizable portion of the audience who barely knows who they are (outside of "older wrestlers at the centerpiece of the show"), and the audience that does know them either isn't tuning in or doesn't have interest in seeing them yet again. They've seen them in the '80s, the '90s and/or to some degree this past decade. There isn't any ground left to cover with them.

Anyway, on to PWInsider.com's questions:
1. Hogan's focus is, and always has been, Hogan. He wants to be in a position to make money and be a big star, and obviously TNA's not doing that to his satisfaction. I don't know who looks worse in that situation: Hogan's gotten a lot of pull in the company and is one of if not the sole centerpiece of the company right now, and he might want out, while TNA's putting a lot of time and effort into a guy who hasn't exactly given them the full bang for their buck in appearances and such. It gets harder and harder to feel sympathy for TNA with each passing day.

2. He's got bigger fish to fry who are higher on the totem pole. Honestly, as big of a deal as he is at this point, associating him with an expendable low-card wrestler doesn't really work in his favor.

3. Not to mention that RVD's feuding with Jerry Lynn, Eric Bischoff "runs the show" with Hulk Hogan, and Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle both hold World Championships. So one could definitely make the argument that TNA's trapped in a time loop in some places.

4. If ROH draws well in those timeslots, you have to think they'll move them into better positions.

I didn't really "get" the question and especially the answer for 5, so I'll skip it.

Matt Morgan's episode of "Made" on CMT drew a 0.07. That's not a typo; it only got 83,000 viewers. Probably not what they were hoping for.

Miz was interviewed to promote the 8/22 Raw taping. Great guy and pretty smart. He's evolved a lot since his early days in the business.

JBL talked about an old backstage fight between Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle. I remember hearing about that years ago; both men were super-competitive and into their characters.

Sin Cara is now being played by the original performer, following the end of his suspension. WWE was very pleased by his fill-in, and it's possible that we could be seeing him back on the main roster sooner rather than later. I certainly hope so. He was pretty impressive.

WWE's corporate website now forwards to the main site. They're currently undergoing a big restructuring in that area. In addition to the recent departure of the EVP of Digital Media, the VP of Digital and Interactive Content Production and Social Media (what a title!) Mark Keys has also recently left. There has been at least one more departure, but no names have been confirmed. This is happening because WWE is merging their website and magazine departments, with the latter overseeing the former. Parts of the website are now undergoing changes. More on this is sure to come in the near future.

Matt Hardy commented on his DWI arrest on his YouTube channel. Details are still a bit murky, but obviously the cop felt he had reason to arrest him. Something tells me we'll be hearing a good deal more on this soon.

That's all for Sunday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
