Query on WWE buying TNA, WWE interviews HHH, Hogan appearing for wrestling company, Edge interview, Questions on the brand extension, Traci Brooks, Sin Cara-Averno, Punk vs. Bryan, and Dana White, Sin Cara to return before 30 days?, Melina talks negativity, Devon interview, former developmental talent passes away, new Hardcore Justice bout, new faces in FCW, more releases could be coming, Impact Wrestling rating, and WWE interviews with Mysterio and Laurinaitis

First up, for whomever sent in the question to the blog, there aren't any plans for WWE to buy TNA. As far as I know, they've never legitimately considered doing so, and I don't see that stance changing any time in the near future.

WWE.com has another interview up, this time with Triple H. He continues to make me think there's at least one more match in his future.

I found this a bit odd: Hulk Hogan will be appearing for a Canadian wrestling promotion for a couple of dates later in the month. Just think how much those appearances would mean for TNA house shows.

IGN.com caught up with Edge before his first appearance on SyFy's Haven. Good read. He's a pretty smart guy.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions and the rest of the day's news, starting with whether WWE's ending the brand decision any time soon.

1. I'd wager that it's just a temporary period of Raw stars being used to try to boost Smackdown's relatively diminished roster.

2. I'm glad someone asked this, because I was wondering, too. The whole storyline with Traci, ODB, and Jackie is hard to gauge as far as who they're going to keep aboard and who's just there for a while.

3. Sin Cara is NOT going to be released by WWE anytime soon. I don't know who started that rumor, but there's nothing credible to support it. I do think he was doing well as far as (over time) adapting to the WWE style and getting over, and I hope he picks up where he left off (while avoiding Wellness violations and learning English). As for Averno, he's still working in Mexico. I don't know if he had to continue a set number of appearances there or what, but he's being used a fair amount and will continue to do so in the near future. Maybe it's kind of a farewell tour? I don't even think they've announced the signing or anything yet.

4. Ugh. I'm fans of both guys but I don't think they're at the level of an angle that big. Even if Bryan is in Booker's Fave Five. Punk signing a new contract just to leave again would indeed be ridiculous. I don't really care for the idea.

5. Both have claimed that it was mainly a personal visit, but they did discuss some of their companies' similarities.

Sin Cara has been advertised as appearing on next week's edition of Smackdown, notably before the 30-day window following his Wellness Violation. He's also advertised for appearances after that. I initially thought that it could have been related to his injection being for medical reasons, but that hasn't allowed people to return early in the past. I believe there have been times in the past where they've had talents work without pay while "suspended", so that could be in play as well. I hope we get an explanation of this from WWE.

Melina posted a blog discussing "haters" and the negative stories which have been associated with her over the years. There's definitely a segment of fans online that dislike her, and a number of accusations which have been leveled at her. It's at the point now where I don't even know which if any of the stories is/are true. Speaking of negative things, I wish more wrestling news was about wrestling and not politics, relationships, bitterness, and illegal activities.

Devon discussed a number of career-related topics in an interview. I agree that it was past time to split up Team 3D. I had gotten where I could have never seen another match with the team and been fine with it. I still pretty much feel that way now. Both are much more interesting as singles wrestlers at this stage of their careers, and both have shown a renewed sense of purpose. They wrestle like they've turned back the clock a couple of years. Devon getting in better shape and being ok with working his way back up the card (and being off of TV in a while) gets him big props from me. I wish some others would follow his lead.

OVW alum Rod Steele is sadly believed to have died from a self-inflicted wound.

Tara and Miss Tessmacher vs. Sarita and Rosita for the Knockout Tag Team Titles has been made for Hardcore Justice.

The FCW roster page has added Cameron Lynn, Colin Cassady, and Leroy Parks. No further background is known on any of them.

It's possible that WWE will release more talents soon.

Impact Wrestling pulled in a 1.14 rating up against the return of "Jersey Shore".

WWE has new interviews up with Rey Mysterio and John Laurinaitis. I'm really enjoying these.

That's all for Friday's news, in addition to the aforementioned releases. I'll be back for more tomorrow and at some point this weekend there will be a post previewing Hardcore Justice. Thanks for reading!
