WWE does interviews with Cena and Punk, Questions on the Raw GM, Divas' matches, and a Knockouts' show, WWE catches up with the "Kiss Demon", misc. Knockouts' news, Cena and Miz at TCA, new TNA advertising partnership, more on Jeremiah at FCW, Foley to be involved in non-wrestling show?, former X-Division Champion parts ways with TNA, and updates on Rock, Matt Hardy, and Undertaker

WWE has posted a series of interviews with John Cena and C.M. Punk leading to their match at Summerslam. I agree with Punk about the people he named getting more opportunities on TV. Hopefully we'll (continue to) see a transition in the company from the more established names who can't "go" like they used to to the up-and-comers. They're getting a good deal out of the older wrestlers as the younger ones get more experienced, and it's certainly been a better mix than TNA, so I really hope the pattern continues and they let those talents move up te ladder when the time comes for the wrestlers close to, at, or above 40 to hang it up.

PWInsider.com has new questions today. Here are my thoughts on them in order:
I can't add anything to add to #1, but for 2. They could if they wanted to. I'd be a bit surprised if they had Triple H on-screen for too long of a stretch, but it remains to be see how much they'll use him. At some point, though, presumably a COO or Chairman or whatever won't be on TV and the Raw GM will be back in charge of the "day-to-day" of the brand. But, they could fire him/her and come up with someone else in the role. It could go a number of ways.

3. Episodes of Superstars and house shows routinely have longer Divas' matches. WWE just doesn't see them as as big enough of a priority to give them more time on Raw or Smackdown (where the more major angles and characters are seen). I'd also like to see more of the Divas, but there's only so much time and a fair amount of it usually goes to the top stars or other major storylines. It's similar to the tag team division in some ways. They just get behind other things.

After the break, I look at the rest of the day's questions and (non-financial) news, starting with the idea of a Knockouts-only show.
4. There aren't any current plans for any additional TNA show. I'm curious as to how a one-hour show of nothing but Knockouts or the X-Division would do, though.

5 was specific to them, so I can't really comment on it.

WWE's latest "Where are they now?" is with WCW's KISS Demon, Dale Torborg. The good intentions they had with the KISS deal paved a road to hell. They were contractually obligated to use a character they wanted to get rid of, including in a PPV main event. Ouch.

As for other news, Mickie James is using Kickstarter.com to try to get a new album funded, and Miss Tessmacher won a Hooters pageant.

Update: Mickie said more on the project on her website.

John Cena and The Miz will be appearing at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. Good for WWE.

TNA has worked out a deal with Circle K Southeast to market a special combo there and give away a trip to Bound For Glory. It's not Wal-mart or 7-Eleven, but they're getting the name out there. The press release refers to the company as Impact Wrestling, with not a single mention of TNA.

A number of FCW talents spoke to PWInsider.com about Jeremiah's recent tryout. Not getting along with your co-workers doesn't bode well in any job. Ask Teddy Hart.

Mick Foley is considering making an appearance on "Celebrity Wife Swap". It's unknown if this would conflict with a possible WWE comeback. I don't care too much one way or another. His wrestling status is more important.

Amazing Red has left TNA, as the company had nothing for him creatively. Out with the old (unused) X-Division, and in with the new. It's unknown what TNA will do regarding the Sangriento gimmick, which Red had portrayed. I definitely wouldn't expect him in WWE, but you never know. I liked him in the earlier days of the X-Division, but after I tired of that style, I didn't really see much use for him (except the storyline with Crimson, which I liked a good deal).

The Rock is doing another photoshoot with WWE.com, and more appearances from him are in the works.

Matt Hardy posted a rather odd statement on Twitter today about taking bookings. I'm not really sure what that means in relation to his TNA status, but there's speculation that it could be related.

There's a column in the latest issue of WWE magazine discussing The Undertaker's success in October PPVs, and some are taking that as a possible sign that he could return at Hell in a Cell. There's no concrete timetable for a return; it's all up to when he feels he's healthy enough.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
