FCW star works house show, Sin Cara II update, former WWE star in motorcycle crash, Questions on Punk, Hogan, and Bischoff, JR vs. Cole Tweets, new WWE jobs, and the Vengeance dark match

FCW's Tito Colon worked Saturday's WWE house show alongside his cousin Primo against The Usos. No word on what that means for a potential tryout for the main roster. Of course, it's also possible he'll be used on NXT Season 6. It has to come eventually, right?

Update:  They're testing the duo out as a potential tag team for the main roster. Apparently they had plans to use Tito alongside both of his cousins, but those plans were shelved when Carlito left the company.

The second Sin Cara (Negro) worked the same house show unmasked, so it's looking somewhat likely that he'll be sticking around in some fashion. I hope so. He's definitely ready for the main roster.

The former Gangrel, David Heath, was in a motorcycle crash and fractured his elbow, which TMZ reported.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions and the rest of the day's news. First up, a rant about C.M. Punk's character direction.

Nothing to add to 1, and I did 2 yesterday. For 3, once more someone has the facts twisted. Though I realize the asker's probably being facetious about this part, how would someone know if a part was boring if they fast forwarded through it and by definition didn't watch it? Anyway, there are a number of things that flaw this question and answer: Punk and Cena were never mortal enemies. As intrigued as the asker supposedly was with Punk's angle, they must not have paid much attention to the promo that started it. One of the first things out of his mouth was "I don't hate you, John". Punk's angle was more against the WWE machine than it was against Cena. He's not friends with Cena or Triple H. They're just on the same side against John Laurinaitis, Kevin Nash, and the wrestlers who walked out. Punk and HHH almost went at it the night after their PPV match before realizing that someone else was manipulating them and it would be wiser not to. As for WWE not listening to the customers, this is the same website that reported that WWE had big plans for Punk after the buzz he made and merchandise he sold. They're pushing Zack Ryder for a similar reason. There's not knowing the facts of the matter, and then there's outright ignoring them. As for the post-walkout Raw's decreasing rating as the night went on, I agree that they dropped the ball there to a degree. But as always, followup is key.

4. Hogan got them a lot of buzz and media appearances that they wouldn't have otherwise got. Casual fans know who he is, and TNA's trying to bring those fans in. Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, etc. don't get video game deals and coverage on TMZ and invited to American Idol. They know he has a lot of experience as a successful wrestler, and trust his word on some things for the company. That's why they do it. Is it the right move? Maybe not. But there are reasons behind it. As for Santino, he gets over with the WWE fans and that's what matters.

5. Last year's BFG was also under the Bischoff-Hogan regime so that doesn't exactly help your case. He has a job because of his experience with making WCW what it was at its height and his TV production expertise.

As an addendum to those last three questions, I'd like to make some things clear: I don't think either wrestling company is perfect, and I don't think they always make the right decisions. In fact, I can agree with some of the criticisms leveled at them at times as far as hiring/firing decisions, who gets pushed, etc.. But when other sites and their supporters either don't give credit where it's due or paint stories as more one-sided than they actually are, I get upset and play devil's advocate to show that things aren't as simple as they're made out to be, and it's not all doom and gloom with wrestling these days.

Moving on: a series of Tweets were exchanged between Michael Cole, Jim Ross, and Joey Styles about Ross not being on commentary at Vengeance. WWE should have a match between the two of them where if Ross wins, we never hear Cole go on about him again.

WWE has a number of new job openings on their website, including a new agent (Producer) and VP of Creative. Don't expect that to mean a big change in how things are run in those areas, though.

Finally, Wade Barrett defeated Daniel Bryan in the dark match before Vengeance. Yeah, Bryan's got some ground to cover if he's going to be a serious title contender come WrestleMania.

That's all for Sunday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
