Hugh Jackman talked about working with Dolph Ziggler and more when promoting Real Steel. Cool guy.

Mexican wrestler Averno clarified his status with WWE, saying that there was never a concrete deal for him to down. Given that his signing was reported months ago and there hasn't been any indication of him doing anything with the company since then, we could very well have been wrong on this one. Not sure what happened there.

On to my look at the questions sent to PWInsider.com:
1. Hogan's about Hogan. TNA's just one of his current endeavors, and he treats it as such.

There's really not anything to add to 2, so I'm going on to 3. I personally always considered that to be different from what Flair and Michaels did, but I don't know if the company did. As they said, without those two there it shouldn't be a problem either way.

There's also not much to say on 4. For 5, I don't see TNA signing him. They basically used him as a stepping stone when he was in the EV2.0 angle, and I don't see what else there is to do with him there. There's no telling with ROH. If they think he can still go well enough in the ring, they might give him a look. In 2011, I honestly don't see all that much use for him when there are plenty of other people not being used who are younger and fresher. For some reason when it's ECW-related, people stop complaining about the business not moving on from the '90s.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news.

Mick Foley is auctioning off a medal from Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart to help victims of flooding in Vermont.

Mark Henry will be part of a Smackdown house show near his hometown.

Diamond Dallas Page talked about a match he had with Sting in 1999.

Darren Young was suspended for 30 days for violating the WWE Wellness Policy. So, he'll be missing at least 4 tapings of NXT. That's a shame. He was really doing well there. Not that the show was much about the rookies anymore anyway, but it'll be interesting to see how they address this. Will they say he's injured and just postpone any theoretical eliminations until he returns, or are they just going to have it be between Derrick and Titus now? Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they ignore the competition aspect and just pick back up where they left off in 4 or 5 episodes. I hope this doesn't happen with him again.

Jim Ross talked about the current WWE angle with Yahoo Sports.

Big Show will be back on the road for WWE house shows this weekend. As a former multiple-time World Champion with over 15 years of experience, he's theoretically pretty valuable to use.

Tara will wrestle as part of a charity event for humane shelters.

Grantland.com looked at the recent walk-out storyline, the Union storyline from the Attitude Era, and real union concerns behind-the-scenes. It should be noted that in the lawsuit mentioned, none of the wrestlers who sued were a part of WWE at the time, and were considered to not having legal standing to sue.

The Miz will begin hosting a weekly fantasy football show. I guess he's got a lot of time on his hands now while his lawsuit against Triple H goes on.

It is believed that Bruce Pritchard has replaced Vince Russo as the head writer in TNA, or will do so in the next month. Russo will remain on-board as an adviser to him. I REALLY hope that's true. What little I've heard from Pritchard suggests that he "gets" wrestling a good deal better than Russo and company do. I can only hope that this means we're on the road to a second strong national promotion.

Randy Orton commented on the vote of confidence from Raw. They're going all out to push this one. TNA, take notes.

Hulk Hogan talked about his BFG match ("fight") with Sting.

Jim Ross previewed creative plans for Raw. Sounds like it could be good.

Rey Mysterio will not be able to physically attend the upcoming WWE tapings in Mexico City. That's unfortunate, because it would have gotten over huge there. Maybe he can appear via satellite?

On-screen COO Triple H has announced that he will remain in charge of Raw. That's not going to sit well with a lot of the roster. They've got a set up to do something big on Monday.

The Miz's appearance on the CW's H8R got a 0.4 rating. The show was then canceled. That's a shame. His appearance was very good, and it's a cool concept.

William Regal gave some valuable advice for people wanting to be successful as wrestlers/sports entertainers. It sounds old-school, but the man knows what he's talking about. I believe that if everyone followed that advice, business would be much improved.

TNA put out a press release on the big Hogan/Sting match next week. As far as name value and history goes, that clash is hard to top.

Finally, here's the latest episode of Zack Ryder's YouTube show. Dolph Ziggler for best supporting character. Regal was hilarious as always as well. So much fun. That's a like from me.

That's all for Thursday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
