More on Angle-MMA rumors, Questions on HHH as COO, dirtsheets, "closure" for Rock, WWE name changes, and Cena as heel, Rhodes talks IC Title to WWE.com, Punk promotes Supershow, post-HIAC happenings, WWE star "injured" by Henry, TNA appearances, Hogan game update, more on Helms charity, WWE sued for wrongful termination, another 3-hour Raw, Raw dark match, Superstars spoilers, more on boxer tryout, and DiBiase Sr. talks

UFC boss Dana White clarified the persistent Kurt Angle claims about going into the UFC.

Update: Kurt Angle responded to all of the media attention he's gotten lately about the issue. Maybe he should stop bringing it up in interviews? Unless he's being misquoted, he's the one starting these rumors.

On to the day's questions sent into PWInsider.com:
1. I'm enjoying it a good deal as well. I see the complaints about Punk and Cena, but in general I think it's been a good spark for something different in WWE. HHH has a lot of credibility and is someone people are drawn to/talk about, so he's a good catalyst in the role. As for him being the focal point of the show, it makes sense  since he's working with a lot of things and people as COO. Of course the other wrestlers are generally going to be seen as beneath someone who's held the title that many times and headlined that many events, at least for now. I think they're missing the fact that he's being used for up-and-comers (and rejuvenated veterans) to play off of. Having those guys interact with him (in a way that isn't "HHH Pedigrees them and makes them look weak") is a good building block. If the storyline ends up with the big group of heels suing and being elevated by the whole storyline, that's got to be seen as a plus. Not to mention that Punk got the rub from having such a strong showing against him at Night of Champions.

2. I kind of get that "hey look, we know it's fake" vibe from it too at times. It's like some kind of "rebellion" against who "they" want the wrestlers to be called. Also calling out executives and such ("Hey Vince, do you see these ratings?") is pretty dorky. It makes the sites that do it look like angsty teenagers in a way. And this is coming from someone who used to be part of the "anti-establishment" group that crapped on everything because it was cool to do so. As for star ratings, obviously they're subjective. I wouldn't use them as gospel by any stretch. Just like reviews in other genres for that matter. Again, coming from someone who used to just read the (negatively worded) play-by-play of an event and taking it as the truth.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and PWInsider.com questions.
3. I can see that theory, and their response to it. If he wants to cap off his career there, it could indeed be kind of closure to him.

4. Honestly that might have been a Paul Heyman call. Don't quote me on it, though. I know he was one of the last guys who came in and got to keep a name like that. All the other names mentioned had to get new names for copyright purposes.

5. As they mentioned, those fans are tired of his face character and want the company to go in a different direction with him. As for him actually doing so, I still don't see a reason to. Right now he can play off of Miz, Truth, Punk, and Del Rio, all of whom are relatively new blood (or refreshed blood in Truth's case) stepping up and getting over. Maybe some time from now there'll be a time when it's right to, but that time definitely isn't now.

WWE.com talked with Cody Rhodes about bringing back the glorious former design for the Intercontinental Championship. David Otunga advised him against speaking further about Triple H.

C.M. Punk was interviewed to promote a weekend Supershow.

The WWE Insider Twitter account updated the storylines coming out of Hell in a Cell.

After the show, C.M. Punk and John Cena eventually recovered and shook hands, which I'm sure ticked off a good part of the fanbase who found out about it.

WWE is claiming that The Great Khali was injured by Mark Henry on Smackdown, so expect him to miss time like Henry's other victims. Khali had been said to have been hurting for a while, so this is a way for him to get some much-needed time off. Works for me. He could really use some time away from the ring based on his recent performances.

WWE.com has video of The Miz and R-Truth being arrested Sunday.

Rosita and Hernandez will be doing a signing on 10/8 in the Queens Center Mall at the Time Warner Cable store. Hey, publicity's publicity.

Here's the website for Hulk Hogan's upcoming video game.

Here's more on the charity comedy show being done for Shane "Hurricane" Helms. Hopefully good comes out of that PSA.

The independent wrestler suing Abdullah The Butcher for Hepatitis C is now suing WWE for damages and breach of contract. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they can fire anyone at any time for any reason. I don't expect this one to go far at all.

Smackdown pulled in another 1.98 on 9/30. Nice. I hope that number continues to stay in a good place.

Jim Ross stated that there was a "very strange vibe" backstage at Raw. Dun dun DUN.

Another 3-hour Raw has been set for 12/12. I'm guessing that'll be the Slammys.

Raw's dark match had Brodus Clay beating a local enhancement talent. On WWE Superstars (International spoilers!), Alex Riley beat JTG and Michael McGillicutty beat Percy Watson. They're finally using McGillicutty again I see. Curious how many "non-contracted" talents (O'Neil on Superstars, Maxine on NXT, Watson on both) are being thrown in with different rosters lately.

Monte Barrett's WWE tryout will be in 2 weeks at FCW. He'll have to knock it out of the park to get signed at 40.

Finally, here's an interview with Ted DiBiase, Sr. where he talked to kids about how he turned his life around.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
