Melina-TNA update, Questions on Adamle vs. Laurinaitis, Wellness tests, long-term booking, and TNA, Vince and Andre in documentary, Henry interview, WWE UK appearances, TNA to cross over with new SpikeTV partner Bellator, Riley update, UK WWE tickets through Facebook?, and Windham in intensive care

This is related to a query someone sent in: In a recent interview, Melina said that she is "still deciding" about whether to go to TNA when her no-compete clause expires sometime next month. We'll see if that happens then I suppose. Of course, rumors are swirling about her relationship status with John Morrison and his contract status, so maybe both of them end up there for all I know. It's rare that scenarios like that happen.

As for my look at the 10/26 PWInsider.com questions:
1. They make a good point about Adamle being entertaining in a trainwreck way. I was initially going to say that at least Laurinaitis is familiar with the product and therefore better at this job. Close call. Since it was specifically worded about personality, I'll put Johnny Ace lower because his voice is just terrible for promos.

Nothing to add to 2 that I'm aware of, so I'll look at 3. I'm under the impression that the tests are random, so if they are using masking agents they must be on them a LOT of the time. I wouldn't rule it out, but there's no way to really know.

4. Of course they do. They're just kind of ignoring it for the sake of immediate gratification in the terms of higher ratings and PPV buys. Well, that's the goal anyway. It's certainly a gamble. As for Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara, they wanted to make a big splash in Mexico and they did just that. It could be leading to bigger things for both men in time.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with a big rant on TNA.
5. Wow. I don't even know where to start. From the looks of things, she won't be doing that anytime soon. She thinks what they're doing is good enough for them to stick around. As long as they pull in big numbers and attention here and there, I'm guessing that's seen as progress. Also it's pretty important to note that there are some things we aren't privy to, such as PPV buyrates, so maybe they're doing things that aren't publicly able to be seen.

As for the specific criticisms, I'll TRY to play devil's advocate here, but I agree with some of it. On one level I can see using guys like RVD, Hardy, Angle, Sting, etc. as main eventers ahead of the "TNA originals" based on experience and that they've drawn money in the past. When that happens, people are going to be passed over. They've pushed Styles, Joe, Morgan, Dinero, Anderson, and Abyss as main eventers briefly over the past few years, but a lot of it has indeed been undone. The X and tag divisions are pretty much in shambles. I'll give you that one, because there's not too much going for either of them. A number of X-Divsioners they've hired have been pushed to the side, to the point that you'd be forgiven for not knowing they were still on the roster. The British Invasion is also a team, but they're pretty much persona(s?) non grata(s?) right now. Joe has a decent story going for him, but they've been so off-and-on with him that it'll take a while for us to buy him as a credible threat again since there's always the danger that he'll end up going under another reboot. I would argue that Gunner and Crimson have been pushed to a degree as well, though that's been kind of undone too. I don't think Storm's win made him look stronger than Angle in the slightest given that it was booked a lot like a fluke. We'll see what happens with Fortune in the weeks and months to come. They MIGHT end up stronger then given recent events.

Vince McMahon and Andre The Giant were featured in an ESPN documentary about the possible inspiration for Rocky Balboa. Shockingly, Mick Foley beating a cutout of Rocky didn't make the cut.

Mark Henry talked Smackdown, the Olympics, and the Oilers ahead of the 10/25 Smackdown taping.

WWE Superstars and Divas will be making appearances early in November across the UK.

SpikeTV's parent company has purchased the MMA company Bellator. How this relates to wrestling is that Spike's president compared it to airing TNA after WWE left the network. The COO of the company will be 10/26 Impact Wrestling taping. Somehow I don't think their COO is an MMA fighter...

Alex Riley gave an update on his condition. I hope he's back close to 100%.

Tickets to WWE events could soon be available via Facebook due to a new service by The Ticket Factory. Pretty cool. That could potentially do good business.

Finally, legendary wrestler Barry Windham is in intensive care after either a stroke or heart attack. I wish him the best for a speedy recovery.

That's all for Wednesday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
