WWE King of the Ring Reax, Booker apologizes, Gagne remembered, Bryan update, Raw audience, former TNA Champion injured, and Questions on Kane vs. Cena, Bo Dallas, Miz vs. Sandow, holding Bryan back, and profanity

King of the Ring:
I'm glad they started with a graphic remembering Gagne.

I enjoyed Sheamus' promo. He's been better as this character than he has been in a while.

Nice Neville promo, too. I hope he's set for big things (just not too quickly).

I mostly enjoyed Neville vs. Sheamus. It's obvious they had to balance who was winning with whom they wanted to protect in defeat. They have to be careful with both of them since they've both only been back on the main roster for less than two months.

The post-match was pretty good. I guess we'll see them face off again at Payback.

Damn. Barrett went pretty hard on R-Truth and Neville. It's worth noting Neville beat BNB clean on the pre-show for Extreme Rules.

I have no clue if this gimmick is some kind of rib on R-Truth or what, but it's pretty funny.

BNB vs. Truth was pretty good, as was expected. Barrett vs. Neville should be a great final.

I'm glad to see Gagne being remembered. Can they do a WWE Network special on him like they did with Warrior?

Fine Ziggler promo. Maybe there will be a more serious gimmick match for Payback?

Nice promo from BNB. This should be pretty good.

Neville is REALLY good. He's already holding his own with people on the main roster. I hope there are good things in the works for him.

Really good ending to that match. Hard-fought win by BNB. There's no shame in Neville losing in that manner.

I look forward to seeing what's next for the new King.

Everything else from Tuesday is after the break.

Booker T. apologized for his Owen Hart comments on Raw. While it was an unfortunate choice of words, it was also unintentional as far as referring to Hart's accident.

PWInsider had an amazing look back at the life and career of Verne Gagne. That was a great history lesson.

Update: Dory Funk, Jr. also wrote about remembering Gagne. More nostalgia for an earlier time in wrestling.

Update: Here's a collection of tweets remembering Gagne. He really made a mark on a lot of people.

Update: Add Jim Ross to those writing up remembrances. There's a lot of respect for the AWA kingpin.

Update: WWE Network had Gene Okerlund and Scott Stanford discuss Gagne's passing. I'm glad they're paying homage to him.

Daniel Bryan has been removed from advertising form all future WWE shows, which would seem to indicate the company is unsure when he'll return. It's a shame things have turned out like this for him after he finally made it to the top. I hope he can still be a main event player in the future.

Raw's audience Monday was 3.76 million, a really notable drop from the previous week. That's something to really take note of considering it followed a PPV.

Jeff Hardy broke his leg during a dirtbiking accident recently. That really sucks for TNA considering he's holding gold for them right now. Maybe Davey Richards can team with Matt while their partners heal?

Update: Here's footage of the accident. Ouch! I hope he doesn't miss too much time.

For my take on Tuesday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Kane was on offense for most of the match and had the champion reeling despite nearing 50. Kane's been in WWE for two decades and has had a Hall of Fame-level career with all his accomplishments. The fact he's even still there, much less still having such a big role, is more than most wrestlers his age and experience level can attest to. So, no, I don't think WWE is mishandling him. As for Cena, he's shown time and again he can have great matches if that's what he's been asked to do by Management. I think the point of the match was just to show Kane's still got it, which they more or less did. It wasn't about Cena.

2. I also think the character works better without facial hair, since he's more goofy and happy-go-lucky than serious. Dallas is definitely capable of getting a reaction, and is primarily used to get others over, so I don't really see their criticism here.

3. I guess WWE wanted to move on from the angle and do something different with Sandow. There was definitely more to that angle, but it was mishandled.

4. I think they indeed could be right with how they're using him this year. It's entirely possible they brought him back too soon. It would have really sucked if he would have missed time right after becoming WWE Champion for the second year in a row.

5. Unless the standards have changed, they probably should add a notice regarding language.

More wrestling tomorrow.
