BITW notes, two territory names pass, Interviews with Hogan+Paige/WWE exec, TNA release updates, Lawsuit against WWE dropped, two more WWE injuries, Kidd update, WWE trademark news, and Questions on using Hogan and Austin at WM32, Joe's NXT song, Stardust's future, TNA dropping to one hour, and Reigns' push

ROH booker Delirious was in a car accident before Best in the World, and arrived at the show late. That could have been a disaster. I assume they all knew who was going over and all before then.

Jay Lethal is expected to hold both championships going forward. Interesting choice.

Nick Jackson banged up his ankle last weekend, and both Moose and Michael Elgin were limping after Saturday's taping. I don't see how they all do it.

Early ROH names Deranged and Azrieal were at Friday's PPV, while former WWE Creative member Kevin Eck was at the following TV. No word on any of them coming in.

Update: Anthony Greene was at TV tapings, too.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Cora Combs, one of the top female professional wrestlers from the territory days, passed away at 92. She had one heck of a run.

Update: Buddy Landel passed as well. He was only 54.

Update: WWE issued a statement on his passing.

Hulk Hogan and Paige talked about Tough Enough:
- If that Cena story is true, it's problematic. Obviously with a workaholic like Vince in charge, things won't change in that regard. I don't see how Cena does it.

- WWE working with Full Sail has been amazing for both sides.

- Sadly, some are just looking for fame.

The door isn't closed for Gunner and Samuel Shaw in TNA. They could be used again if the company comes up with new plans for them. There just wasn't anything going for them creatively, so they were released. It will be interesting to see how they fill upcoming Xplosion/One Night Only tapings given the shrinking roster.

The Gilberts have moved for their lawsuit against WWE and ESPN to be dismissed, which is probably the right move because I don't see how it could have succeeded.

Erick Rowan was injured at a live event this weekend. I don't ever remember a time when this many injuries were a factor at once. Looks like Harper's going to be a singles guy again for the time being.

TNA has booked Universal Studios from July 22 through the 29th to tape Impact Wrestling, Xplosion, and One Night Only shows. That's a pretty intense schedule. I wonder how much money the pull in from Xplosion. I'm under the impression it just airs in the UK now. That's probably TNA's second-biggest market, so I don't see them dropping the show as long as someone will keep paying for it!

Ryback vs. The Miz vs. Big Show and the Primetime Players vs. The New Day have been officially added to Battleground. Props to them for advertising title matches several weeks before the PPV. Slammiversary doesn't have that going for it...

A top WWE exec discussed working with Full Sail and more. Orlando could become a big destination for WWE if they do something Hall of Fame-related in the area. I wonder how TNA tapings in Orlando do vs. NXT. TNA's taping locations seat more people, so that's a big factor.

Tyson Kidd underwent surgery on his neck. I hope he's able to bounce back sooner rather than later. He's one of my favorite performers.

WWE has registered to trademark "Bray Wyatt." Why did they wait until now!? At least it's official now so they wouldn't theoretically have to go to court for someone trying to use that name commercially.

WWE abandoned the trademark for "Slayomi." Naomi can't use "slay" terminology anymore, which sucks. I get slaying isn't family friendly, but it's not like she's actually slaying people...

Jamie Noble was injured during the angle with Brock Lesnar on Raw. He would end up taken to the hospital. If you had any doubt as to how tough Lesnar is, there's your answer. I hope Noble isn't hurt too badly and can be back on TV before much longer.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think it could potentially work, but I don't see it actually happening. I think we'll see something like WM21 where Austin and Hogan are part of the show and can deliver their signature moves without actually being in an official match.

2. It's inspired by a song he used in ROH, but I'm with you. His TNA theme was great, and I wish they did something more like that.

3. I think they're still going to want to do Stardust vs. "Green Arrow" at Summerslam. After that, we'll see.

4. Not much to add there. They'd be in breach of contract if they didn't do two hours of Impact Wrestling a week, which could open them up to legal action or stations dropping them entirely. I don't even know how that kind of show would do compared to the current format. Most people want to see angles, not meaningless matches.

5. Probably. It's not like they can't put him into the title picture at Summerslam anyway.

More wrestling tomorrow.
