Stone Cold podcast:
- Austin was definitely one hell of a talent. He had fire few could match.

- It's funny to look back at blond Austin after being used to him as Stone Cold.

- Brock is an absolute beast.

- Brock loves the business, but not the travel, the politics, and being in the public eye.

- It's a shame Heyman working with Cesaro and Axel didn't work out. Both men are very technically sound, but lacking in the promo department.

- Heyman's right about protecting moves.

- I think in a lot of ways Vince Jr. was the right guy at the right time. Not that he's not a genius and a fighter, but he came along at just the right time to make a change and had the resources to do it.

- December to Dismember 2006 was the least-bought PPV of its era, possibly of all-time before the Network changed PPVs. It was a trainwreck.

- I'd love to see Stone Cold vs. Brock Lesnar if Austin can bring out the Stone Cold of his prime.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
WWE is doing another free month of the Network for new subscribers. This has got to be costing them a lot of money. Obviously they expect a lot of those new subscribers to become paying customers. It comes across as desperate in some ways, given how much content is available there. It should sell itself!

There's speculation of the deal between DA and ROH leading to an additional weekly show, live specials, and so on. I think DA will wait to see how the current show performs before considering/committing to any of that. And they might wait until dropping TNA (if they decide to do so) in order to use that money for ROH instead.

ACH/Matt Sydal (the former Evan Bourne) vs. Adam Page/BJ Whitmer is set for ROH's June 19 PPV. I'm interested to see how Sydal is these days after having not seen him for a few years.
Set for this week's ROH TV:
- The Briscoes vs. J. Diesel/Donovan Dijak
- KUSHIDA vs. Will Ferrara
- Silas Young vs. Watanabe
- Mosse vs. Colby Corino

I'll be covering the show alongside NXT and Impact Wrestling.

ROH sold out Oklahoma City this weekend. That's good for them. I wonder if any TNA talents would rather be working for a promotion with regular live events.

TNA has signed a new deal to continue showing its content in Italy. I really wonder how well they do with international deals. Would it be enough to sustain them if DA drops them?

Seth Rollins talked about being hated more than Justin Bieber and more. I wonder how Bieber is taking all of this, if he even knows about it.

Darren Young gave a long interview on his career thus far. He's come a long way from the South Beach Party Boy from NXT Season 1. I hope he holds gold in WWE someday.

Hideo Itami is in Japan promoting WWE's upcoming live events there. He'll be appearing on them, but not wrestling.

There are reports of Arrow's Stephen Amell competing against Stardust at Summerslam. We'll see! That would be a pretty cool confrontation. Amell has been pushing to get involved with WWE for quite some time now.

Update: There's further speculation it will be Amell as Green Arrow facing Stardust. I think a lot of people would be interested in that, and it would definitely get press. Much more interesting than Stardust vs. Amell.

Jerry Lawler talked about his recent DVD release and Andy Kaufman. I'm starting to think he'll be doing commentary for WWE forever. He should be replaced with someone younger if they're trying to reach an audience below the age of 45.

Tommy Rogers of The Fantastics has passed away. Here's a link to some condolences. The Fantastics really made a mark on the industry. He'll be missed.

Here's a map of where every WrestleMania has been. That's pretty cool.

Friday's Impact Wrestling drew 413,000 viewers at 9 p.m., and an additional 157,000 viewers in the replay. That's quite a good mark for them. Hopefully numbers increase on Wednesdays and DA decides to keep them.

The dark match before the Raw taping saw Samoa Joe defeat Tyson Kidd. I want to see that on TV really badly.

Update: Samoa Joe has signed a full-fledged WWE deal in the wake of his merchandise sales and ROH announcing their clearance on Destination America. They want him as their own exclusive property. This is great! I can't wait to see what he does for them.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Hmmm... maybe. The end goal should be getting Charlotte, Sasha, AND Becky over without any of them overshadowing each other (like Sasha and Becky being Charlotte's lackeys). I think it could work, but it'd have to be booked well and given TV time.

2. Nothing immediately comes to mind. It's definitely a very unique situation. I wonder if we'll see any crossover between the two sides. If done right, it could probably help both brands.

3. That would be awesome! WWE should do it. Ditto for other people who've helped out tremendously behind-the-scenes.

4. Not at this time. If TNA, ROH, LU, or whomever got, say, three million viewers a week and made a dent in WWE's business because people would rather see the other show, WWE would probably take notice. But I don't see them changing things because of a show doing under a million.

5. I like Balor and his entrance a good deal. I do think he's lacking in the charismatic department, but so was Jeff Hardy and his athleticism and aura (facepaint, etc.) got him pretty far. Ultimately it is subjective, though.

More wrestling tomorrow.
