Slammiversary preview

Read on for how I'd book tonight's TNA PPV.
Assume this is an alternate universe where we don't already know what the next month of TV looks like:

- Tigre Uno retains the X-Division Championship he just won. He should look like a fighting champion instead of the latest chosen spotmonkey to hold the strap. He should have an interview either before or after the match about how the belt actually, you know, means something. Ideally he holds it a decent amount of time before we get another switch. I'd be preparing for Bound For Glory potentially turning into TNA vs. GFW where this title gets absorbed into the new promotion.

- Brooke vs. Taryn spills out of the ring. Kong takes out some anger on Marti Bell and Jade to get a double pin. Kong looks dominant, Taryn doesn't get pinned, and Brooke shows she can hold her own with the champ, too. That sets up the July 1 title match nicely.

- Magnus beats the holy hell out of Storm. The match isn't "sanctioned," so no worries about DQs or anything. Mickie slaps Storm, hits him with the Mickie-T or whatever, and Magnus gets the win. This isn't about "burying" Storm; it's about Magnus and Mickie getting their revenge. Magnus' mic gets cut off in the post-match, so he draws "GFW" in the air with his fingers. Just kidding, unless there's a reason to do that that benefits TNA AND GFW.

- Richards beats Aries since Davey's actually going to still be under contract come July. The 30-minute iron man match that's already been announced will be the perfect ending for the feud. That's probably time for at least 100 highspots.

- Jessie Godderz lays Robbie the hell out as the next rising intense heel. I'm fine with Robbie and DJ Z continuing to be thorns in his side for a while before he throws them both through a barbed wire table onto some thumbtacks or whatever. Robbie and DJ Z doing a stretcher job as the end of this feud works to put Jessie over as a threat. Those two can come back as a somewhat different version of the Bro-Mans gimmick.

- I assume Morgan coming back is just a one-time thing. He puts up a fight, but Bram hits him with two turnbuckles because why not?

- I personally love the idea of Jarrett taking the KOTM Title hostage and defending it against a mix of GFW and TNA talents at his first taping.

- EC3 tries to leave Tyrus all alone when the two former TNA Champions get the advantage. Kurt Angle comes down the aisle to cut him off. Tyrus takes the pin, and the faces get some of their heat back on the #1 Contender before they do escape. Carter then has a number of challengers for the next few months after winning the title: Angle in a rematch, Lashley, Anderson, and maybe even a face Tyrus.

More wrestling tomorrow.
