Itami merch update, Tyrus-GFW note, Interview with Jarrett, assorted WWE press, AJ Styles note, another WWE Network special announced, and Questions on WWE using ROH footage, using blood, Nash as a booker, WWE buying TNA, and more live events on the Network

Fight Network promoted TNA's move to Wednesdays. It will be really interesting to see how things go for the show internationally going forward.

WWE has released the corrected Hideo Itami T-shirt. I miss him already...

Tyrus has been pulled from upcoming GFW live events, presumably due to TNA not wanting him to work for another company with a potential TV presence. That's a shame. It'd be different if TNA was taping TV or something and the dates conflicted, but they're basically preventing him from supplementing his TNA income on some indie dates. A lot of talents are taking outside bookings, but obviously there's still heat on TNA's end toward Jarrett for starting his own promotion. Once some contracts come due, it will be really interesting to see if GFW picks up some current NXT names.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Jeff Jarrett promoted GFW:
- He has a lofty goal in trying to unite wrestling fans across the globe with a distinctive competitor to WWE. We'll see what he's able to do pretty soon.

- Piracy definitely hurts the business. Pirates aren't just taking from Vince; they're taking from the wrestlers busting their asses and missing their families.

NBA player Dwight Howard was at Smackdown, which drew some buzz. That's good for WWE.

WWE is giving away MITB briefcases on Twitter. That's smart!

WWE's new deal in Italy goes until 2020, and includes WWE Main Event. I'm under the impression Superstars was dropped in the country. That show will presumably stop existing eventually when their other international contracts get renewed.

AJ Styles addressed turning down an appearance for TNA. What's best for AJ Styles in 2015 is working in NJPW and ROH. He wouldn't be able to further his non-TNA endeavors by returning there for one last match. I can't blame him.

Kevin Owens will defend the NXT Championship against Finn Balor from Japan on July 4, during WWE's tour there. WWE Network will air the match live. I assume that's Owens' swan song in NXT unless they have him work Samoa Joe down there. Time will tell. I'm glad he's been such a success.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. As was said, there's no working relationship. If WWE wants ROH footage, they'd have to pay or get permission to use it.

2. I don't see a mainstream promotion (especially one that has to answer to stockholders) bringing back intentional blading given what's known now about things like Hepatitis C. Ditto for chair shots to the head after the revelations about CTE. If someone wants to watch that kind of irresponsible behavior, that's on them. But I don't see it happening at a higher level. Would a major network even show it?

3. Nash "gets" things from a creative perspective as far as having been around in the days when it was just Vince and Pat booking and they protected people better. His best asset is finding ways to get himself and his friends paid. I don't know if he'd be who WWE or TNA are looking for for that reason.

4. It's definitely too early to say TNA's dead. Even if they get canceled in September, it's likely they'll try to continue producing content for their international markets. And they were showing signs of decay before dropping to DA from Spike. I'd like to think if they were doing better ratings- and revenue-wise, they'd be in a better position now. DA gave them a LOT of airtime for things like TNA's Greatest Matches and Impact Wrestling: Unlocked, in addition to multiple replays of Impact. It just hasn't performed like DA has wanted (hence the move to Wednesdays). If they do go out of business, I can see WWE scooping up the tape library if it's the right price. Realistically, they're pretty much the only party that would be interested and would pay for it.

As for airing other promotions on the WWE Network, WWE isn't in the business of helping out other promotions in that respect in 2015. I don't see that changing going forward. Note they're going after Jerry Springer and Johnny Knoxville for new original content they can own, not other wrestling promotions.

5. Possibly. There's a delicate balance as far as how many big shows to do in a year. I don't know if WWE is looking to completely get out of the PPV business in favor of the Network. They definitely want it to be a hit, though. Having specials like KOTR and Elimination Chamber has certainly helped in that regard.

More wrestling tomorrow.
