NXT and WWE live event notes, what Kaitlyn's up to now, NXT preview, another TNA release, and Questions on Dalton Castle, Gunner-WWE, Wyatt vs. Reigns, Andy Leavine, and Sasha Banks

Here are results from the most recent NXT live event. It's good to see some new names in the mix. Hopefully we'll see some of them on the TV show soon.

Brad Maddox, with something of a new look and gimmick, lost to Jack Swagger on live events this weekend. They could put him on the NXT show if they can't make use of him on the main roster. He's really been lost in the shuffle for quite some time now.

Former WWE Diva Kaitlyn's new business was profiled. It's a shame we're not seeing her work with some of the newer names, but she's probably much happier now than when she was a wrestler.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
On this week's NXT:
- Hideo Itami gives an update on his condition.
- Enzo Amore/Colin Cassady vs. Jason Jordan/Sylvester LeFort
- Dana Brooke vs. Cassie McIntosh (formerly KC Cassidy)
- The Hype Bros (Rawley and Ryder) vs. Sawyer Fulton/Angelo Dawkins
- Finn Balor vs. Rhyno

NXT is definitely in kind of a transitional period, but that opens up spaces for some new names to cut their teeth.

Samuel Shaw has announced he's no longer part of TNA. He signed a multi-year deal last July. He hadn't been used on TV for months, so that's probably the right move. He's not someone I'd immediately recommend for NXT, but he's worth giving a tryout to. I'd like to see GFW pick him and Gunner up. I definitely want an alternative to WWE on TV that isn't ROH, and those two could be good signings.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I'd definitely rather spend $10 for the Network every month than watch ROH PPVs. There were some positives, but I'd give the show a 6 or 7 out of 10 at best. It's clearly not my style. Anyway, I do think there are some talented people there who understand there's more to the business than cool moves. I like Castle's character and I think he can be a good worker, as well. I hope he continues to impress.

2. Gunner was certainly on a roll for a while. TNA going dark at the end of last year and him only having a few multi-man matches in January before disappearing from TV again didn't do him any favors in that regard. Joe was someone who had impressed in the ring for more than a decade before coming to WWE. Gunner doesn't have that kind of a reputation. It's possible they'd give him a look, but it's definitely not a certainty. There are probably other names they're more interested in.

3. That's a pretty extreme reaction, I think. It's not like there's not a lot of content on there that's kid-friendly for people who don't want to see the current Raw angle. Because of that PG rating, they're not going to get too extreme with it. If he actually "abducts" Reigns' daughter or something, then I can understand thinking it's too dark. Regardless, I think Wyatt's gotten a pretty good fan base because his character is more on the dark side than, say, King Barrett or Corporate Kane. Diluting him will only hurt that appeal.

4. Case in point of Tough Enough being a reality show first and foremost, rather than a sped-up version of NXT. What's insane is he was part of FCW before the show and went back down after he won. Ultimately, he was a flop. I don't even think he wrestles anymore.

5. I see it as them focusing on other developmental Divas so they have a chance to grow like Sasha has. They need to build up some competition for her.

More wrestling tomorrow.
