Interviews with Ricardo/Raven, Del Rio update, Rock's Smackdown appearance, a Wyatts movie?, Rey update, and Questions on Edge hosting a show on the Network, the Russian flag angle, an angry Taker, the "30-day rule", and revamping WWE's titles

The former Ricardo Rodriguez talked about leaving WWE in detail. WWE really lost some talented people in Ricardo and Del Rio. As for Ricardo training and working in NXT, there are a lot of hardworking people behind-the-scenes and/or in limited roles that make the whole machine of the company go smoothly.

Alberto Del Rio will be working a show for Wrestle-1 in November. This naturally leads to speculation of him working with TNA given the agreement that company has with W1. There's no word on that yet. I'm under the impression Del Rio can't work in the U.S. due to legal issues with WWE, and that might extend to appearing on U.S. TV for a wrestling company (even if the show's taped in Japan). I'd love to see him in TNA since WWE's not an option, but I don't see it happening.

The segment set for Smackdown featuring The Rock was taped backstage at Raw. You can't have the 15th Anniversary of Smackdown without him. He should have plugged that appearance Monday.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
The directors of "See No Evil 2" want to do a movie on the Wyatt Family. That could be great! The characters are fascinating.

Raven talked about his personality and the bridges he's burned. It's a shame, really. Great talent, but I could see how he'd be hard to work with.

Rey Mysterio was recently backstage for at least one taping of Lucha Underground. It wouldn't surprise me if he tried to start working there once his WWE contract expires. Rey and WWE have been at odds about his contractual status for some time now, but he's still officially part of the company.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It's not a bad idea, but I don't know if anyone involved is interested in doing it. I think Edge is pretty content to not be in that kind of capacity for WWE, especially perhaps with the travel involved. Speaking of Edge, it would be great to see him in Asheville one of these days.

2. I imagine someone knew there would be backlash. The Jericho incident was only two years ago. They very well could have thought it'd be OK with an apology because "any publicity is good publicity".

3. That wasn't a question, but imagine how things would have been different for Taker had he gotten even!

4. Yeah, the 30-day rule was clearly something The Authority just used to strip Bryan. They're in charge. If they want to ignore their own rule, they can do so. It's not like The Authority plays fair;  look at all they're putting Brie through!

5. That sounds like a good idea to me. Having a definitive hierarchy for the U.S. and IC Titles could be what WWE needs.

More wrestling tomorrow.
