Interviews with Stephanie/Cena, Dolph literally loses title, AM Raw update, Stone Cold rumorkiller, NXT lineup, Y2J update, Bryan appearance, Bruno acknowledged, Rock note, Raw notes, new guest host and Questions on talents not getting over, animal characters, Sting in WWE, Kharma, and the future of TNA

Stephanie McMahon talked about ending up with Triple H and more as she promoted Raw. Dating your boss' daughter is a pretty serious risk, but it's paid off for The Game.

Dolph Ziggler had his luggage lost, including the Intercontinental Championship. He's had a lot of fun with the unfortunate situation, at United's expense.

John Cena appeared on The Today Show. I expect a lot of appearances related to breast cancer this month.

AM Raw has been dropped by USA Network. Maybe they can bring it back for the WWE Network?

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Stone Cold has mentioned "training for a comeback", which naturally feuled speculation of returning to the ring. I'm sure WWE would love for him to compete again at WM31. I'd love to see Stone Cold  lace it up one more time, but only if he can compare to what he did in the past.

Update: Stone Cold shot down the rumor on Twitter. Well, that was fun while it lasted.

Set for this week's NXT:
- Tyler Breeze vs. Mojo Rawley
- Hideo Itami with Funaki vs. Viktor with Konnor
- The Vaudevillains vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady
- Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch
- Titus O'Neil vs. Sami Zayn
There's potential for some good stuff there.

Chris Jericho could be working some European dates with WWE in November.  This wouldn't be a "comeback" as much as working a few dates as he has a break in his schedule with Fozzy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him come back for another run or two in 2015.

Daniel Bryan appeared at an MLB playoff game to lead the crowd in a "YES!" chant. I'm beyond ready for him to get back on WWE TV. Him beating Brock at WM31 would be amazing.

Update: Here's a story on his appearance. Bryan has that mainstream appeal and celebrity WWE wants talents to have, but they still treat him as a B+ player.

Bruno Sammartino's 79th birthday was acknowledged on ESPN's Pardon The Interruption. It's great to see him on good terms with WWE these days.

The Rock was something of a last-minute edition or surprise for Raw, as he wasn't part of the script earlier in the day. It was a pleasant surprise for the show.

Roman Reigns was originally supposed to appear in the ring. I'm not sure why they changed that unless they felt it was unnecessary.

Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, and Tyler Breeze were all present at Raw. It's a shame we haven't seen any more NXT stuff when there's apparently plenty of time to plus Total Divas, non-wrestling guests, and little people in animal costumes.

Next week's Raw will feature reality show star NeNe Leakes as a guest host. I'm about ready to tap out of the WWE variety show.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. WWE definitely has to give characters opportunities to get over, and those characters being too scripted or being booked poorly can certainly have a detrimental impact on how far over a performer gets. However, there are at least some fans who will cheer for or boo someone without being "told" to (Zack Ryder, Alex Riley, etc.), and WWE needs to capitalize when that happens.

2. The Bunny's pretty over due to his athleticism, and they are telling a story about Slater Gator feuding with him, so it's not completely a bust from that perspective. I'm fine with some elements like that.

3. DDP and Booker T., along with Goldberg and some others were WCW names who eventually came to WWE. I think that's what WWE was getting at.

4. It's a shame she never ended up coming back. She could have really been a force to reckon with. I'd love to see Brie bring her in to destroy Nikki (and maybe Steph, too). Heck, have her end the careers of Eva Marie, Rosa Mendes, and Cameron while you're at it. WWE definitely prefers the Total Divas types to Kharma, and that's a shame.

5. A new TV deal is definitely the top priority. They also need to determine how important the name value talents are for their future (and if there's enough money to pay them). If they aren't going to have Kurt Angle, Team 3D, and Gail Kim in 2015, they're really going to have to get behind the people who are going to be there. I think they're doing that to a degree, but is it too little, too late?

More wrestling tomorrow.
