WWE ring announcer update, WWE live event notes, Interviews with Dallas/Rollins/Corbin/Y2J, and Questions on indies running similar cards, streaming iPPVs, international coverage, Raw guest hosts, and wrestling movies

Eden was ring announcer on the main roster this weekend. I'd definitely prefer her in that role to JoJo, although I think Eden was at one point training to wrestle. We'll see how that all turns out.

Damien Mizdow lost to Great Khali in quick fashion this weekend. I wouldn't read anything into it.

Adrian Neville defended the NXT Championship against Sami Zayn this weekend. Given the show was in Montreal, Zayn was incredibly over. He got to cut a promo in front of his hometown, which is pretty cool.

Update: Zayn posed with Ziggler and Ambrose after the main event, with his music playing. That's quite a big deal considering he's not part of the main roster yet. I hope he's brought up sooner rather than later, because he's ready to make an impact.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Justin Gabriel worked heel this weekend. That's interesting. He could use a character reboot if they're going to push him.

Bo Dallas talked about his NXT and WWE careers. It took a while for the switch to be flipped and him to put together his potential, but I'm glad it happened.

Seth Rollins was interviewed. If theoretically Rollins wanted to cash in at a live event or any other time Lesnar's not present, does he win via countout or forfeit or something? He could really go into business for himself and probably become champion as MITB contract-holder. I don't see WWE doing that, though, and they shouldn't.

NXT's Baron Corbin talked about his run in NXT so far. Talk about someone who's repeatedly gone over strong after seemingly coming out of nowhere. I've enjoyed his work so far, and he came across well here.

Chris Jericho talked about returning to the ring, working with Vince, and more. Being civil in disagreements is absolutely crucial for being heard and getting forward. That said, I'm sure working with Vince can be quite a headache given his eccentricities and stubbornness.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Each indie promotion wants the boost of featuring that match. It's also possible they get the talents involved for cheaper if they're already working the area and need to fill out some dates.

2. It's a shame streams of smaller promotions can be so haphazard, since that's the best way for a lot of them to reach a wider audience for big shows (and thus gain a foothold in the market).

3. I personally only intend to cover stories that affect the American wrestling scene and talents. GFW and Lucha Underground are potentially relevant to the U.S. fan base at large. I don't know how big or important they'll get, but I like to throw in some mentions when they make news in a significant way.

4. On a related note, I wonder when the Muppets end up in the WWE Hall of Fame. I think any guest host is more or less eligible now.

5. It depends on what you're looking for in the movie. A lot of people would agree with a number of his choices. I doubt anyone would actually consider "Ready to Rumble" the best, but apparently some people like it from a "so bad, it's good" perspective.

More wrestling tomorrow.
